Our Values
When asked what is the greatest commandment, Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ – Matthew 22:37-39
Therefore, we value Jesus – Jesus is Lord, and we are a church that Follows Jesus, preaches Jesus, loves Jesus, worships Jesus, and lives for Jesus.

Our Aim
We strive to be a family of believers who truly embody what it means to be the “children of God” – a holy people, loving and sharing from the overflow of all that we have received in Christ.
We strive to be a body of believers who are not content to simply sow seeds inside the walls of our church building, but who eagerly look for opportunities to demonstrate the love of Christ to people from all walks of life in our community and around the world… and to share with them the Gospel of grace.
We strive for our facilities to be a place where people feel genuinely welcome… where people can come and encounter the living God through authentic, Spirit-filled worship, sound Biblical teaching, Christ-centered preaching, and the warm, encouraging and strengthening fellowship of believers… a place where families grow stronger and people find freedom from bondage to sin; where people find the hope, peace, and life that only Jesus can give.
We strive to be a body of believers who are dedicated to reaching and discipling youth and children for Christ… transforming not only their lives, but also our future.
Finally, we strive to be a church that prays together. We believe in the words of 2 Chronicles 7:14 – that “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

About the Church of the Nazarene

The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. Organized in 1908, the denomination is now home to about 2.5 million members worshipping in more than 29,000 local congregations in 159 world areas and growing.
We are a Great Commission church. We believe that God offers to everyone forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love, meaning in life, and the promise of eternal life by entering and experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are called to take this message and share this blessing with people everywhere. In the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, we believe that Christians can experience a deeper level of life in which there is victory over our sinful nature, power to witness and serve, and a richer fellowship with God, all through the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The Henderson Church of the Nazarene was established in 1937. For over 87 years, God has been touching hearts and transforming lives through the ministry of this wonderful congregation.
